I know some of you have gotten a copy of the book already, and you may be staring at with a bit of panic in your eyes, thinking oh god how will I ever get through this whole thing?!
Don’t worry, I feel you.
I’ve created a totally flexible Read-Along Schedule Guide for our use; it is not binding and can be altered at any time, if I get feedback along the lines of please please slow down I’m drowning in Tietjens.
I’m going to post just the guide for the first book right now.  We’ll deal with the rest as we come to them.
Parade’s End Read-Along Schedule Guide
Book one: Some Do Not…
about 310 pages, in two parts, further broken down into sections
6 WEEKS TOTAL (3 weeks per part), roughly 50 pages a week
Feb 1 - 7: Part 1, sections 1 - 2
Feb 8 - 14: Part 1, sections 3 - 5
Feb 15 - 21: Part 1, sections 6 - 7 (end of part 1)
Feb 22 - 28: Part 2, sections 1 - 2
Feb 29 - Mar 6: Part 2, sections 3 - 4
Mar 7 - 13: Part 2, sections 5 - 6 (end of novel)
Again, I am totally open to feedback about how your reading is progressing, and whether or not we need to slow down.
The main purpose of this schedule is to give us some structure for discussing the books; this way, faster readers won’t accidentally spoil slower readers and we can all be basically on the same page when we’re writing/tweeting/talking about the book.
