I’ve been getting a lot of questions about which edition of the book to use, and a few people have said that the book isn’t available where they are.
Any edition you want to use is fine! I’ll be structuring the schedule guide around the sections of each novel, not by page number, so having different editions shouldn’t matter.
Vintage/Anchor has a nice omnibus edition, which you can get on Amazon or your preferred vendor. If you’d like to support your local independent bookstore, they’ll be happy to order it for you. Online retailers do also have an ebook version available for your Kindle, Nook, or whatever.
For those who cannot find a copy, Project Gutenberg Australia has the first three novels in the tetralogy available online. NOTE: if you are not in Australia, it is probably illegal for you to download these. Please check with your country’s copyright laws and your own conscience.
Ford Madox FORD (1873-1939), Parade’s End, a trilogy comprising:
Some do not…(1924)—Text—ZIP—HTML
No more Parades (1925)—Text—ZIP—HTML
A Man Could Stand up (1926)—Text—ZIP—HTML
Note: There is a fourth novel, “Last Post”, which formed a tetralogy, but this is not available from Project Gutenberg Australia.
I would rather you start off using these online versions instead of thinking you can’t participate! We’ll figure the fourth book out when we get there.
In answer to your burning questions about which edition of Parade’s End to use! Please chime in if you know of published...
